     I'm so happy! I have 20 page views... psshhhh, yeah, those of you who say "Oh, twenty, I've had that a long time ago!" Give it up people! Let me have my fun! And by having my fun I shall love to thank those of you who have made my page views go up! :D You've made a young girl very happy!
     Now, I was thinking earlier; apples don't get very much credit.. and so, I figured it would be interesting to make a list of facts about apples..... yeah, it sounds stupid.. but you know what? Nobody is here to object me to typing it! :D
Apple Facts
- The crabapple (I read that as "craple" the first time I read it XD ) is the only apple native to North America
- Two pounds of apples makes a 9-inch pie
- The apple blossom is the state flower of Michigan *also not sure if that's true.. but you know, believe whatever you want... I'm not stopping you*
- Apples float because 25% of their volume is air
- The largest apple ever picked weighed 3 pounds 2 ounces
- One medium apple contains about 80 calories
- The word "apple" comes from Old English "aeppel'
- China produces more apples than any other country *again, not sure about that*
- 36 out of 50 states in the U.S. produce apples commercially.
- More than 7500 varieties of apples grow in the world, only 2500 grow in the U.S.
- Red Delicious apple is the #1 popular kind of apple, and is the most widely produced. Golden Delicious is the 2nd.
- Half of the U.S.'s apple crops are turned into apple products such as applesauce and apple juice.
- Apple trees don't bear their first fruits until they are at least 4 or 5 years old.
- The more apples a person eats, the lower their chance of developing lung cancer is (Now don't go eating apples 24/7, you'll get sick!).
- Johnny Appleseed was a nickname for John Chapman, an American pioneer born in 1774 who planted apple seeds in Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.
- It was never actually mentioned that the apple was the forbidden fruit in the Bible, it only said "fruit from the Tree of Knowledge", but didn't specify as to what kind of fruit. It was Hugo Van Der Goes who depicted such an idea in his 1470 A.D. painting The Fall of Man.
- The first Apple Logo was used for Isaac Newton, created by a lesser-known artists Ronald Wayne
      And I suppose that's enough about apples...
